Fret-King Announces STVDIO Country Squire Semitone Bass

Fret-King will be adding to their high-end, one-off STVDIO series of instruments this fall with the introduction of the Country Squire Semitone Bass. The singlecut, bolt-on bass features a pair of designer Trev Wilkinson’s new JM pickups wired to a 3-way toggle switch.

In keeping with a vintage vibe, Wilkinson used traditional woods for its construction: swamp ash for the body, maple for the neck, and rosewood for the fretboard. The double bound body is routed with acoustic chambers and a classic f-hole, then finished in Honeyburst accentuated with a tortoiseshell pickguard. Hardware on the bass includes a 2-saddle vintage-style bridge and reverse geared “elephant ear” tuners.

The Fret-King Country Squire Semitone Bass will be available in autumn 2013 for £2,499.00 (approx. $3,806 USD). For more info, check out the Fret-King website.
