PreSonus Introduces Capture for iPad and Capture Duo

Presonus Capture for iPad

PreSonus has ported their Capture audio-recording software to the iPad with two new apps: Capture for iPad and Capture Duo. Capture for iPad allows for recording up to 32 tracks simultaneously with 24-bit, 96 kHz fidelity, while Capture Duo is a free version that lets you record and play two stereo tracks. Both apps focus on recording but come with basic mixing and editing tools.

After recording directly to the iPad, songs can be wirelessly transferred to the company’s Studio One program or copied to iTunes via USB cable. Audio is saved in the Apple Lossless format to save iPad memory and reduce transfer times.

Both Capture for iPad and Capture Duo require a second-generation iPad or newer, iPad Air, or iPad Mini; iOS 7 or higher; and any iPad-compatible audio interface, including the built-in microphone.

Both apps are available via the App Store. Capture for iPad is priced at $9.99 and Capture Duo is available as a free download.
