TC Electronic Introduces SpectraComp Bass Compressor Pedal

TC Electronic SpectraComp Bass Compressor PedalTC Electronic has taken the SpectraComp found in some of their bass amps and put it into a TonePrint-enabled effects pedal. The multi-band compressor is specifically tuned for bass and housed in a mini enclosure to fit on tight pedalboards.

Based on their MD3 multi-band dynamics engine, the SpectraComp Bass Compressor features a frequency specific compression algorithm that the company says gives a punchy bass tone without sacrificing low end.

The pedal built for simplicity with a single control knob, but the TonePrint technology allows for making custom compression tones and “beaming” them into the pedal with a smartphone.

The TC Electronic SpectraComp Bass Compressor is available now with a street price of $99.99.
