Fender Unveils Limited Edition Adam Clayton Precision and Jazz Bass
U2’s Adam Clayton is getting a new pair of special basses from Fender this year. The limited edition Adam Clayton Precision and Jazz basses come with maple fingerboards and a unique purple sparkle finish.
Both basses are built with an alder body, carbon-reinforced maple neck, and maple fingerboard that’s adorned with abalone inlays. Fender fits them with their Custom Shop pickups: a Split single-coil for the Precision and ’60s single-coils for the Jazz. Other features include 20 medium jumbo frets, a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius, and a hi-mass bridge.
The Fender Limited Edition Adam Clayton Purple Sparkle Precision Bass and Jazz Bass will be shipping at the end of November for $1,999.99.
