Genzler Amplification Reveals BA410-3 Bass Cabinet
After unveiling a slant cab version of their BA12-3, Genzler Amplification announced another model to their Bass Array series at the NAMM Show with the BA410-3. The cab is loaded with ten cone drivers: four 10-inch cast frame woofers and six 3-inch neodymium paper cone speakers, which are in a line array. It handles up to 1,000 watts at four ohms while only weighing 55 pounds.
“[The BA410-3] offers 4 x 10” drivers loaded into a single ported chamber and positioned tightly together for close-focus, dynamic coupling,” Genzler says of the configuration. “The mids and highs are projected by a 6 x 3” line array of neodymium cone drivers which dramatically increases their efficiency and provides exceptional projection and horizontal dispersion characteristics. The transition of lows, mids and highs are extremely smooth, seamless and detailed; and the force and clarity of this cabinet makes it ideal for large stages and venues.”
Genzler builds the cab with a light plywood construction, side-mounted recessed bar handles, and both Speakon and 1/4-inch jacks. It will be shipping in April with a price point of $1,559.99.
