Boss Introduces WL Series Wireless Systems
Boss has announced the WL Series of wireless systems for bass, guitar, and other electronic instruments. The line has three models – the WL-20, WL-20L, and WL-50 – that the company says offer “ultra-low latency and rock-solid stability.” Each unit has a built-in rechargeable battery in the transmitter that allows for up to 12 hours of continuous playing time.
The series begins with the WL-20, which includes a small transmitter to plug into the bass and a receiver for your amp or pedal. “The receiver includes cable tone simulation, which reproduces the natural capacitive effect of a 10-foot/3-meter guitar cable,” Boss explains. The WL-20L is the same unit but takes away the cable tone simulation to make it a better fit with instruments that have an active preamp or active pickups.
The WL-50 is designed to integrate into pedalboards. I has an integrated transmitter dock with two cable tone simulation options. Its receiver is powered with a PSA-series adapter or AA batteries.
Additionally, a WL-T can be purchased as a spare transmitter for any of the systems.
The Boss WL Series is available now with prices of $179.99 for the WL-20 and WL-20L and $199.99 for the WL-50.
