CFG Unveils SonikSphere NEO Wireless System for Bass and Guitar
CFG (Cable-Free Guitar) has announced the SonikSphere NEO wireless system, marking their second generation of the product for bass and guitar. The 5.8 GHz wireless system ups the battery life to over 10 hours, reduces latency to under 2.5ms, and features a -10 dB pad for instruments with hot outputs.
“The Gen-2 system operates at 5.8 GHz and is built for players who want to stay out of the heavily used 2.4 GHz space shared by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other everyday devices, NEO keeps the clean 24-bit/48 kHz digital audio approach of the original SonikSphere and updates the parts players deal with in real use: response time, battery headroom, hot-signal control, and stage visibility,” the company states.
The SonikSphere NEO has six color-coded channel banks to make channel selection easier. It also features visual battery-level indicators on both the transmitter and receiver to assess battery life. Each is fitted with a 270-degree swivel plug to fit instruments in most any position.
The CFG SonikSphere NEO wireless system has an introductory price of $139, which will rise to a normal price of $170.
