Fodera Adds Emperor-J 5 To Standard Classic Bass Series

Fodera has added a five-string version of their Emperor-J to the Standard Classic line. The retro-styled instrument can be ordered in two different layouts to represent the tones of different eras.
“The Emperor-J 5 is available in either a 60’s jazz-style configuration of an Alder body/ Rosewood FB with its pickups in 60’s location or in a 70’s jazz-style configuration of an Ash body/ Maple FB with its pickups in 70’s location,” Fodera writes. “Built in Brooklyn, New York utilizing the same tonewoods and crafted from the same hands as our Custom Line of instruments, our Standards provide players with over 30 years of legendary Fodera craftsmanship and playability.”
Each bass is fitted a pair of Fodera / Seymour Duncan single coil JJ pickups with a Fodera Standard Preamp. They come in a variety of colors – Vintage Sunburst, Natural, Fiesta Red, Black, Olympic White, Candy Apple Red, Charcoal Metallic Frost, Pelham Blue, and Butterscotch Blonde – with a choice of tortoiseshell, black, or white pickguards.
The Fodera Emperor-J 5 Standard Classic is open to pre-orders now with a list price of $5,450. Delivery is expected by December 2018.
