Gregory Porter Releases First Live Album with Jahmal Nichols
Vocalist Gregory Porter has just released his first ever live album, entitled One Night Only: Live At The Royal Albert Hall. Taken from a three-night sold-out stay at the legendary London venue, the performance sees the singer backed by his jazz quartet as well as the 70-piece London Studio Orchestra.
Together, they pull mostly from Porter’s most recent studio album, Nat King Cole & Me, while sprinkling in a handful of fan favorites. Bassist Jahmal Nichols once again anchors the entire event with warm bass lines to match the singer’s silky baritone.
