Bass of the Week: Monfette Guitars Pentakill Yorick’s Bass

If you’re a fan of the game League of Legends, you may be familiar with Pentakill Yorick, the undead heavy metal band member that wields a bass to fight his enemies. Luthier Yvan Monfette was inspired to create Yorick’s weapon in real life, complete with a sharp looking body and skull headstock.
“The body of that bass is made of white ash and the neck is a 3-piece hard Canadian maple,” Monfette writes. “It is equipped with Dimarzio pickups. DP147 for the neck and DP148 for the bridge. Because of the skull, the headless system from Hipshot is perfect for that bass.”
