2019 Gerald Veasley’s Bass Bootcamp To Feature Marcus Miller

Gerald Veasley’s incredible annual Bass Bootcamp is back for 2019, and this year is promising to be one of the best yet. The three-day program will be held March 15 through the 17th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is set to include master classes, workshops, and giveaways.
“Whether you’re a seasoned bassist or novice, Gerald and his world-class faculty will plug you into the joy of bass playing: technique, theory and, of course, those funky bass lines!” the event’s website states.
It’s a particularly impressive year for the Bootcamp’s roster of guest instructors. Bass legend Marcus Miller will be a special guest for the event, while Veasley himself serves as Artistic Director. They will be teaching alongside the rest of the faculty, including Scott Ambush, Joe Aranda, Oskar Cartaya, Josh Cohen, Tony Grey, Ryan Madora, Adam Nitti, Rob Smith, and drummer Richard Waller.
The weekend will also feature the eighth Bass Gear Expo, which brings bass players together with luthiers, designers, and engineers of bass gear. This year’s exhibitors include Aguilar, Brubaker Musical Instruments, For Bass Players Only, Ibanez, Ken Smith Basses, Kydd Basses, L. H. McCurdy Basses, Michael Tobias Design, New York Bass Works, Skjold Basses, Valenti Basses, Wing Instruments, and more.
The 2019 Bass BootCamp will be held March 15th through the 17th at the Courtyard Philadelphia City Avenue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Registration is open now for $549. Tuition includes BBC dog tags, a BBC backpack, an exclusive meet and greet dinner with the Bass BootCamp faculty, and early access to the Bass Gear Expo.
