Each year, the Winter NAMM Show brings the top industry talent to Anaheim, California. That includes bassists, who all flock to the Bass Bash. This year the event returns on January 16th and 17th with one of its best lineups yet.
Spyro Gyra has returned with their first album of new material in six years by releasing a collection of covers. “Vinyl Tap” features reworked versions of classic hits of the vinyl era, and it covers a lot of ground.
Gerald Veasley’s incredible annual Bass Bootcamp is back for 2019, and this year is promising to be one of the best yet. Bass legend Marcus Miller will be a special guest for the event, while Veasley himself serves as Artistic Director.
Back in March, Spyro Gyra took the stage at Blue Note Milano. Anchored by bassist Scott Ambush, the band performed this tune, “De La Luz”. Terrific performance!
The annual Bass Bash will be returning this year, and it’s going to be a doozy. Scheduled in the evenings after the NAMM Show, the Bass Bash is held at JT Schmid’s in Anaheim, California on January 22nd and 23rd from 7pm to midnight.
