Orangewood Guitars Introduce the Oliver Jr. Bass

Orangewood Guitars has unveiled their first acoustic bass with the Oliver Jr. Bass, which falls into their Overland Collection. The miniature four-string takes its cues from the Oliver Jr. guitar with a scaled-down body and “impressive full-size voice.” For the bass, this means a 23.5-inch scale and an overall length of 36.25 inches.
It is built mostly from mahogany with a solid piece for the top and layered mahogany for the back and sides. An ovangkol fretboard tops the mahogany neck. Orangewood also utilizes ovangkol for the bridge. The Oliver Jr. Bass comes fitted with a Fishman Sonitone Preamp System. Hear it in the demos by Maddie Jay and Marcelo Feldman:
The Orangewood Oliver Jr. Bass is available now with a price of $345.
