Riccio and Gunn Publish “King Crimson: The Discipline Era Transcriptions” Book

Gabriel Riccio and Trey Gunn have teamed up for the mammoth task of creating a new score book called King Crimson: The Discipline Era Transcriptions. The 256-page book features full-band transcriptions from Crimson’s fruitful ’80s era.
“This version of King Crimson (Robert Fripp, Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, Bill Bruford) shocked the world with the pioneering musical language brought forth on the ‘Discipline’ release in 1981,” the book’s notes explain. “They went on to record two more albums in this configuration — ‘Beat’ and ‘Three of a Perfect Pair’.”
Levin’s credits on the trio of records include work on the bass guitar, Chapman Stick, synthesizer, and background vocals. As such, the music notation and tablature are available for each instrument as he used them.

King Crimson: The Discipline Era Transcriptions is printed on high quality paper in a 9″x12″ format, spiral bound for lay-flat-open reading. It’s available for order now for $50.
