Richard Bona to Perform with Nu Deco Ensemble

Richard Bona

The Nu Deco Ensemble will be continuing their live stream concert series from the North Beach Bandshell in Miami Beach on April 10th at 8pm. The modern-day orchestra, which creates a bridge between multiple genres/backgrounds, will be having a special guest for the occasion: Richard Bona. Luckily for bass layers around the world, the event will be live streamed.

Nu Deco will be performing three other pieces in the evening in addition to selections of Bona’s music. “This concert will feature the music of Valerie Coleman, Anemoia, and a symphonic reimagination of the music of Earth Wind and Fire,” they write. “Special guest collaboration will be bass legend, Richard Bona. Bona’s seemingly effortless voice, fierce skills on the bass, unique songwriting/arranging expertise and ability to learn just about any instrument simply from watching, position him as a rare African artist to have established an international reputation that transcends cultural boundaries.”

Bona, who has only performed virtually since the pandemic, is excited about the show. As such, fans can expect him to be in amazing form.

“As my first real show since March 2020, I really look forward to performing with the Nu Deco Ensemble on April 10!” Bona tells us. “They are bringing a twist to my repertoire with unique arrangements, and I cannot wait to share this music with the world!”

Tickets for the live stream are $15. You can get them and more info at that Nu Deco Ensemble website.
