Ahmad Jamal: Poinciana (Live, 2014)

We’ve lost another musical giant. The great Ahmad Jamal passed away yesterday at the age of 92.

Watching him play is a joy, and here’s a great video of Jamal, bassist James Cammack, percussionist Manolo Badrena, and drummer Herlin Riley performing “Poinciana.”

The 84-year-old Jamal (at the time) was still showing us how it’s done – and having fun.

RIP, Mr. Jamal.
