RIP Lynyrd Skynyrd bassist, Ean Evans
Ean Evans, bassist for Lynyrd Skynyrd, passed away earlier this week after a long battle with cancer. He was 48.
The announcement was made on Lynyrd Skynyrd’s web site, and read:
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of longtime Lynyrd Skynyrd bassist Ean Evans. Ean put up a valiant battle with an aggressive form of cancer and he will be sorely missed by family, friends and fans.”
Ean had joined the band in 2001 after bassist Leon Wilkeson passed away.
This is the second time tragedy has struck the band this year. Former Keyboardist, Billy Powell, passed away in January.
