Interview with Stellastarr* bassist Amanda Tannen
Decider DC has published an interview with bassist Amanda Tannen from Stellastarr*. Stellastarr has moved from RCA to their own Bloated Wife label after RCA’s merge with Sony.
For those of you who are not familiar with them, Stellastarr* is an alternative indie rock band based out of New York City. They’ve been around since 2000 and just released a new record, Civilized on July 7th 2009.
Stellastarr* has upcoming shows posted on their Myspace page through the beginning of August.
Watch out though because you may get more than you bargained for, according to Tannen: “This is weird, but I’m also really flattered by it. We got a letter once from this couple that had met at one of our shows, and they ended up getting married. We got an e-mail the other day saying that they had named their first child Stellastarr.”
