Radar Online is reporting that founding member and former Alice in Chains bassist Mike Starr was arrested Monday on drug charges. The arrest occurred in Los Angeles and was a felony narcotics charge. Currently he is being held at the Bauchet Street Jail with bail set at $100,000. He is schedule for arraignment on October 14th at the Pasadena Superior court.
Starr has been booked as a cast member for the upcoming “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew,” a show to air in January and follow the real-life experiences of celebrities going through rehab at the Pasadena Recovery Center.
This past May Starr had joined Facelift, an Alice in Chains tribute band, to perform three songs at a New York performance. According to Facelift Starr “was in great shape and form. [His] performance was flawless and this just about squashes all rumors of his prior poor health condition. The crowd response was amazing as crowd-surfing and high-decibel applause was present.”
Unfortunately this is not the first time Starr has been arrested for drug charges – his past infractions include DUI, reckless driving, and drug possession.
