Adam Clayton Talks About New U2 Songs

Adam ClaytonIn an interview posted on U2.com, Adam Clayton spoke about U2’s plans for new songs. The band just returned to the stage in Turin, Italy after Bono recovered from his back injury. During their downtime, Clayton said they’ve been laying down tracks of new material. “We’ve been doing some rehearsing but mainly we’ve been doing recording,” the bassist said. “That was the one thing Bono was able to do during his recovery. We’re gonna toss a few out into the show and see how they go down.”

Though they are working on new stuff, don’t expect a huge release anytime soon. “We’re trying to break it up a bit,” he explains. “The idea of doing another big record and going away for a long time doesn’t appeal to us. But the idea of putting out tracks in the show and then put out a little EP, these are all possibilities we’re thinking about.”

The band also announced the rescheduled dates for their North American Tour, which are posted on their website.
