Rush: 2112 & Moving Pictures Classic Albums Documentary Released

Rush: 2112 & Moving Pictures Classic AlbumsA documentary on the creation of Rush’s 2112 and Moving Pictures albums has been released on DVD, as part of the Classic Albums series.

Rush: 2112 & Moving Pictures chronicles the writing and recording process through demonstrations, archive videos, and interviews of band members Geddy Lee, Neil Peart, and Alex Lifeson, as well as producer Terry Brown.

The two albums were the tipping point for Rush’s stardom, as 2112 hit number 75 on the U.S. charts, and Moving Pictures peaked at number 3 in both the U.S. and the U.K. Moving Pictures includes two popular Rush tunes: “Tom Sawyer” and “YYZ”.

Rush is still on the road for their Time Machine Tour, which wraps up October 2 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Once they finish touring, they will be wrapping up work on a new album, Clockwork Angels, due out in 2011.
