Tedeschi Trucks Band Releases “Revelator”, Featuring Oteil Burbridge

Tedeschi Trucks Band: RevelatorWe featured a video of the Tedeschi Trucks Band back in March featuring the tasty bass lines of Oteil Burbridge.

Now the group has released their debut album, Revelator, with Burbridge anchoring the 12 tracks with his trademark lines.

Formed by the husband/wife team of Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, the 11-piece band presents a soulful mix of blues and rock stemming from the sound of the ‘60s and ‘70s.

Burbridge is completely in tune with the group as he has been a member of the Allman Brothers Band since 1989, which also features Trucks on guitar.

With eleven members… it’s either going to be a complete mess, or an amazing ensemble in which each instrument compliments each other. This record is even more than the latter.. every instrument works in tandem beautifully and the female vocals on the top of everything absolutely shine. It’s got a feel of the 70’s jazzy/bluesy tunes, a splash of 80’s catchiness, a hint of 90’s alternative, and a shiny 2000’s production value. Overall it is a great album for EVERYONE to enjoy. My parents love it, my friends love it, and I love it!
