  1. Nice article, Kevin. FYI, the very first manufacturer of neodymium bass pickups was the Q-tuner company. Some twenty years ago if I am not mistaken.

  2. I have had a great experience with using Reed James products. The guy comes through every time I asked for something special he always took care of me. He just made me a killer ramp and a set of Black Walnut RJ Neo’s that sound killer! Now every bass that I own needs to have his pickups in them..In fact he is making me a five string set as I write this. I believe in this man’s talent and skill in pickup making/woodworking and engineering. Reed James knows about tone and is about tone! In a world where businesses seem to have lost sight of customer needs Reed James has helped to change my mind about the customer comes last mentality that seems to be prevalent in today’s business society. Kudos Reed James!
