Thunderfunk Introduces TFB800-B2 Bass Amp

Thunderfunk TFB800-B2 Bass AmpThunderfunk has unveiled the TFB800-B2 bass amp, rated up to 800-watts RMS at 2 ohms. The new model is an update of the TFB750, combining all the mods that had been added to its predecessor.

The TFB800-B2 is housed in an aluminum chassis, weighing in at 21 pounds, and has a plethora of tone-shaping capabilities with a 4-band parametric EQ, a limiter, an aural enhancer and a timbre control.

A unique feature of the amp is what the company calls “The Switch,” which essentially selects high or low voltage to give a more hifi tone, like solid-state versus tube. Thunderfunk explains that it’s not meant to be used mid-song, but is “another option to setup the amp for use with different instruments and styles.”

Looks like a nice amp. However, the EQ is NOT Parametric. It is Semi-Parametric. There’s a big difference. Lets keep it real…
