Fender Bassman Pro Series

Fender’s Bass Amplification group has introduced two new Bassman heads and four new cabinets in a new Pro Series. The heads include the 300-watt Super Bassman and the 100-watt Bassman 100T. Cabinets include the new Bassman 8×10 Neo, 6×10 Neo, 4×10 Neo and 1×15 Neo.

Super Bassman

Fender Super Bassman headDubbed the “stadium-level 300-watt tube head designed for the biggest shows and the largest stages”, this head features the classic, mid-1960’s “blackface” styling, with a tube preamp (two 12AX7s) and power amp (one 12AX7, one 12AT7, six 6550s).

Fender Bass Amplification is proud to introduce two powerful, versatile and fabulous-looking new Bassman heads and four amazing new cabinets to go with them. The Super Bassman and Bassman 100T heads deliver the ultimate in Fender bass tone and power to new Bassman 8×10”, 6×10”, 4×10” and 1×15” speaker cabinets.

One of the most powerful and versatile bass amps Fender has ever created, the Super Bassman is a stadium-level 300-watt tube head designed for the biggest shows and the largest stages, with enormous Fender bass sound and sparkling vintage Fender looks. Perfect for stage and studio alike, its dual-channel design uses modern technology to maximize classic technology, with classic Fender mid-’60s “blackface” styling and a wealth of innovative features on the front and rear panels.

The “Vintage channel” is designed to deliver a classic Fender passive tone stack, while the Overdrive channel delivers a more aggressive and responsive sound for a more modern, active tone. A footswitch is included, which allows easy switching between the channels.

A rear-panel Fender Automatic Bias system consistently monitors and re-biases the tubes for optimal performance, and offers alerts when servicing is needed. A speaker output switch offers a “Mute” setting to allow for the speaker to be turned off and record silently using pre or post preamp tone from the XLR output. The unit also includes an impedance switch (8, 4 or 2 ohms) and master volume control with pull mute.

  2. Gary Wolfe

sweet just like ole times back in the 60`s.

  3. Ouch $2400 for the new Fender tube bass head. Still pretty sweet and 30lbs lighter than the Ampeg 300w head.

  4. Plywood… Neodymium yuck. Great sounding bass amps though.

  5. Are these actually for bass this time OR just more Bassmans for guitar?

  6. if not hese neo cabinets… but still can get other ones, cuz amp is so nice, love it, like most fender bass amps :)

  7. why would Fender ruin those cabinets using neodymium speakers? i don’t get it!

  8. Used to own an early 70’s Super Bassman with (2) cabinets with 2X15″ JBL spkrs in each cabinet bit I can’t remember the model number of the speakers. See one go for $4200 for just the head. Now I’m sick :/
