Duesenberg Introduces D-Bass Fretless Bass
German instrument builder Duesenberg has introduced a fretless version to their D-Bass line of basses. Available in Black and Coral finishes, the D-Bass Fretless carries the same specifications as its predecessors, with the exception of its fretless ebony fingerboard.
The D-bass sports an alder body with a hard rock maple neck. Combining vintage-vibe with modern chic, the pickup is Duesenberg’s split-coil Bass Toaster humbucker that can be switched between parallel and serial modes with a push/pull switch. It also has a mid-shape control, which the company says allows for a “seamless fade from J- to P- bass character.”
The nickel plated hardware includes Duesenberg’s 3-way adjustable bridge, trapeze tailpiece, and deluxe tuners.
The Duesenberg D-Bass Fretless is available now with a U.S. list price of $3,169.

Ooooh another new Bass….Ouch, another stupid price!
How stupid?
Love the styling. Very vibey!
Love the oval pickguard.
I’m with you guys – looks very retro! Love it!
Love the 22 Jumbo Frets 2,8mm x 1mm / .110? x .039?… great to have on a fretless bass.
why all producers want to make expensive basses, when people mostly buy this around 1k$ to 2k$?
I appreciate having twenty-two jumbo frets on my fretless basses.
For that kind of money, I would not go for anything but a 5 string neck through that had some type of natural finish and some really cool wood grain. Looks cool, looks retro, looks like something Eastwood guitars would sell for $450.
this bass looks cheap , but is expensive , NOT FOR ME.
I’m digging on how cool those pickups are.
Looks like some cheap retro decoration for the wall at Friday’s.
If nothing else, the coral color is very cool…I like that’s it’s just a bit more faded than salmon. Right now dreaming of a Custom Shop Precision in this color with white pickguard & maple fingerboard.
