Flying Colors Announce European Tour

Flying Colors

Prog rock supergroup Flying Colors is gearing up for a European tour this fall, in support of the band’s debut album, released in March.

Formed by ex-Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy, Flying Colors is anchored by bassist Dave LaRue, and features Neal Morse on keys and vocals, Casey McPherson on lead vocals and guitar, and Steve Morse on lead guitar.

Flying Colors says they started with a simple idea: “virtuoso musicians and a pop singer joining together to make new-fashioned music the old fashioned way.”.

“It was quite an experience making the album,” LaRue said. “It’s been an inspiring challenge melding folk, prog, pop and metal into one big recording.”

“The album has bits and pieces of what you’d expect from each of us,” Portnoy added. “The sum of all its parts led to brand new, unchartered territory for everyone involved.”
