Amped: The Illustrated History of the World’s Greatest Amplifiers
Amp guru Dave Hunter has released a new book dedicated to classic amps, offering up a history of the author’s picks for the 60 greatest guitar and bass amps in history.
Amped: The Illustrated History of the World’s Greatest Amplifiers tells the stories of the 1937 Rickenbacher M11 all the way through the latest Matchless amp, and offers plenty in between – from Leo Fender’s iconic Bassman to a wide range of other bass (and guitar) amps by Orange, Mesa Boogie, Marshall, Vox and others.
The 208 page is richly illustrated with technical photos, catalogs, memorabilia, and the actual amps by some of the most legendary musicians.
Hunter is a well-known author who has covered gear for Vintage Guitar and Guitar Player magazines, and has penned countless other books.
