ESP Introduces Tommy Stinson Signature Basses

Guns N’ Roses bassist Tommy Stinson has a new line of signature basses from ESP as part of their Artist Series instruments. While the basses share many qualities, the ESP Tommy Stinson Bass is built in the company’s custom shop while the TS-4 runs as part of their LTD lineup.

ESP Tommy Stinson Signature Bass

Both basses sport a set of active EMG pickups in a P/J configuration with Volume, Balance, and Tone controls. They are built with alder bodies, maple necks, and rosewood fingerboards. Stinson’s basses carry a retro vibe with Distressed Vintage White finishes for that old school look.

ESP LTD TS-4 Signature Bass

The ESP Tommy Stinson bass, which is made by the company’s Japanese luthiers, is fitted with Gotoh tuners and a Gotoh 404BO string-thru-body bridge. The TS-4 has LTD Vintage Tuners and an LTD DB-4 Bridge.

The ESP Tommy Stinson Signature and LTD TS-4 Signature Basses are available now with street prices of $3,499 and $899, respectively.

  1. that’s quite a price difference between the two models. I wonder, how different can they be? and who’s willing to spend 3500 on a P-bass?

    • +1 . I’d go with the LTD, the only details that seem to be different are the hardware and the hard case included with the more expensive model.

  2. … would love to hear it’.

  3. I guess if you actually mentioned the Replacements it would lower the retail value.

  4. WOW! just aRegular JP bass -.-….. where the fuck is creativity!
