DBZ Guitars Releases Barchetta Bass Series
DBZ Guitars has introduced the Barchetta Bass, a model based on DBZ’s flagship guitar. The bass follows the company’s trend of blending modern and traditional styles for unique instruments.
The Barchetta Bass comes in three versions based on their tops: Standard (ST), Flame Maple (FM), and Spalt Maple (SM). Common features include a maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, and a matching headstock and corresponding finishes. The Spalt Maple bass is set apart with an ash body, where the ST and FM models are built with mahogany bodies.
The Standard Barchetta is fitted with DBZ custom HBX pickups, while the FM and SM basses have a pair of EMG pickups and an EMG BTC Control system. Hardware includes a Babicz bridge and Deluxe tuners.
The DBZ Guitars Barchetta Basses are available now with street prices ranging from $999 to $1,199. For more info, check out the DBZ Guitars website.

These guys are pumping out some pretty awesome designs, it’s a shame that they’re so expensive though.
I love all the retakes on classic design but I enjoy the totally different like my stolen Steinberger and my Guild acoustic bass guitar and crazy EUB’s. But there all so expensive, my next bass might be a Squire Jaguar just to go flat wound versus roundwound with my P bass.
It really should come in red, if you know what I mean. What Geddy Lee fan wouldn’t want that.
In fact, it in should come in a color called Brilliant Red.
Yep, red would be the bomb.
My uncle has a country bass, that noone knows about…
My wife Had a barchetta bass and it was crap. The QC is awful. The fretboard had not been sanded at the top near the 4th to 6th frets and was really rough. She traded it in on a Yamaha TRB 304 whice is a MUCH better sounding/playing instrument. The Yamaha was $349 new at GC.
