Jack Bruce Signs With Esoteric Antenna, Announces New Album

Jack Bruce

After nearly ten years, Jack Bruce is getting back into the studio with plans to release a new album in 2014. The bass legend has signed to Esoteric Antenna, a label of the Cherry Red Recordings Group, and has announced that he is currently in the writing and recording stage of the project.

“It is an absolute honour to be working with a musician of the stature of Jack Bruce on his next studio album,” said Esoteric Antenna label manager Mark Powell. “We are delighted to welcome him to the label and are looking forward immensely to the new record.”

While Bruce is perhaps best known for his groundbreaking work with Cream, his solo discography includes 13 studio albums and five live albums. He’s also worked with Blues Incorporated, Spectrum Road, John Mayall and the Blues Breakers, and more.

The new album is yet to be named and is targeted for an early March 2014 release. Touring in support of the album is also expected around the same time.
