Paul McCartney Announces New Album, Releases First Single

Paul McCartney

Sir Paul McCartney has released a teaser to a brand new album to be released October 14th in the UK and October 15th in the US. New will be Macca’s first album of brand new solo material in six years and features 12 songs created with four producers for a varied sound. He’s posted the first single, “New,” on YouTube. It’s also available for download on iTunes with preorder of the album.

“It’s catchy, it’s summery, it’s a love song,” he told the BBC. “I think people will recognize it as definitely me. It’s a love song but it’s saying don’t look at me I haven’t got any answers. It says I don’t know what’s happening, I don’t know how it’s all happening, but it’s good and I love you.”

New is available for preorder. More details of the album are expected in the coming weeks.

  1. I love it. It is very ’67-’70’s Beatles. God bless him for still bringing it…and what an encouragement to us all! However, the dynamic range is…what +/- 3 db’s? It’s got that “iTunes. everything is squashed” sound. So unlike the innovative sound GM got back in the Apple days. What a shame. Or is it just me?

  2. Good song-good bass sound. Some of the changes are like a Queen song. Great vocal Macca!

  3. This brought the biggest smile to my face.
