  1. I’ve got mixed feelings about such effects being used on an upright bass……

      Why? Where do you think true creativity comes from? Staying traditional and boring? It’s not like he’s sampling music or using loops. He’s still has to create and play the music with his hands. I use vocal effects on my bass and I get sounds I can’t even describe sometimes. Nothing wrong with widening your palette. Try it sometime.
