Today is the birthday of one of the long-time bass greats, Anthony Jackson. With a catalog as large as his, it is hard to pick a video to share.
But this one is just so remarkable.
This is Lee Ritenour’s band performing “P.A.L.S.” In addition to Ritenour and Jackson, the band includes Harvey Mason on drums, Alex Acuña on percussion and Patrice Rushen on piano.
The unison lines are just killer!
