Bass of the Week: Scott Guitar Works SB-2
This week we check out the SB-2 by Scott Guitar Works of Louisville, Kentucky. The bass is built to order and has a plethora of options, but its central point is its unique body shape. Scott shaves down to a minimalist design with a short lower horn and thinner, longer upper horn while keeping it curvy in the lower half of the body.
The SB-2 can be built with a body of ash, alder, maple, mahogany, poplar, or walnut. Top woods depend on the luthier’s availability but range from flamed maple to buckeye burl. Other features include Hipshot hardware and Seymour Duncan pickups.

Ryan does EXCELLENT work! These basses play great. We both share a love of Warwick instruments, and there is a definite influence on his style. Solid work and very easy to work with.
