Chris Thile & Edgar Meyer: Why Only One?

Bassist Edgar Meyer and mandolinist Chris Thile released a new album this week, aptly entitled Bass & Mandolin. The duo took a little time out to find a slice of heaven in the mountains around Telluride, Colorado to perform the first track from the record called “Why Only One?”

Meyer’s seemingly effortless technique and fantastic tone perfectly complement Thile’s percussive and provocative lines to make this a four and a half minute treat.

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
