Fishman Now Shipping Platinum Pro EQ and Platinum Stage Acoustic Preamps
Fishman is now shipping the Platinum Pro EQ and Platinum Stage acoustic preamps. The all-analog preamps have been redesigned with a discrete, high-headroom Class-A circuitry as well as a new switchable guitar/bass EQ that the company says makes them more musical for bass instruments.
The Platinum Stage preamp has a four-band EQ with a sweepable mid-frequency and low frequency filter as well as a volume boost switch with level control. Connectivity includes 1/4-inch input and outputs with a balanced XLR DI output complete with an auto-ground lift. It’s built to be compact and includes a belt-clip.
The Platinum Pro EQ steps things up to a five-band EQ, a built-in compressor, a built-in tuner, and an effect loop. It has footswitches for the tuner and boost, while a precision sweepable notch filter helps fight feedback.
The Fishman Platinum Pro EQ and Platinum Stage preamps are powered by either a 9-volt battery or 9-volt power adapter. They’re available now with list prices of $384.54 and $184.54, respectively.
