Niacin: No Man’s Land
I was watching the video of Niacin’s live performance of “Blood, Sweat & Beers”, and it made me want to look for more.
Here’s the trio of Billy Sheehan, Dennis Chambers and John Novello performing “No Man’s Land” at the same show…

KILLER!!!
Very Cool! Was Novello channelling Keith Emerson in this piece or what?
I have this on DVD. Sheehan is a great entertainer…but as a bass player, in my honest opinion, it’s kinda boring. The bass sound is horrible, his technic is amazing, but uses too many notes and sometimes completely destroys the groove and his solos…too much tapping, fast phrasing, but no melody at all.. I would rather recommend Vital Tech Tones, it’s more groovy, incredible bass lines and soul in it.
