2014 Reader Favorites – #8: Jack Bruce
We lost one of our true heroes in 2014, with the passing of Jack Bruce in October. It is still quite difficult for us to accept it.
Jack released his album Silver Rails back in April, and there was a posthumous release of his 50th birthday concerts as well.
Ryan Madora featured him in May for her “Bass Players to Know” column, and we all enjoyed his playing with Robin Trower in the “Lives of Clay” video.
RIP, Mr. Bruce. Thank you for your huge contribution to music and bass.
