Mo’ Blow: Slingshot
Bassist Tobias Fleischer shares this video with us, of his band Mo’ Blow, a jazz/funk group from Germany.
Mo’ Blow tours quite a bit throughout Europe. In this video, the band is performing at the Borneo Jazz Festival in Malaysia. The tune – “Slingshot” – was written by Fleischer and pianist Matti Klein and appears on the group’s third album, Gimme The Boots.
The bass is awesome here, and I really dig the bari sax too.

I’m a bit curious now about the music going on in Germany now. At the start of this tune I was feel’n an almost NOLA vibe… regardless, this is very cool. Rather fun actually. Have to say I even dug the use of the triangle behind the bass solo. Good Stuff : )
