Warwick Announces German Pro Series Basses
Warwick is introducing a new lineup called the German Pro Series, which aims to offers their German-made instruments at an affordable price. All of the basses are produced in Germany by Warwick and a partner company.
“The tone woods for the German Pro Series are naturally air dried, hand selected, and glued at Warwick in Markneukirchen, also the necks, and the complete fret work is manufactured there, too,” the company stated in a press release. “Then all instruments are finished and assembled by partner nearby in the region. After completion, all Warwick German Pro Series instruments are carefully inspected, flawlessly set up and shipped out from the Markneukirchen production facility.”
The German Pro Series includes variations on Warwick’s Corvette, Streamer, Thumb, and StarBass models. The German Pro Series Corvette will be available in 4, 5, and 6-string versions with either a U.S. swamp ash or bubinga body, ovangkol neck, and wenge fretboard. They will also offer the Corvette $$ in 4 and 5-string versions. The Streamer LX will come in 4, 5, and 6-string versions with a cherry body, ovangkol neck and wenge fretboard, while the Thumb Bolt On will offer the same options save for an ovangkol body.
The Streamer will be available in its CV model with a swamp ash body, maple neck and rosewood fretboard as well as the Stage I model with a cherry body, maple neck and wenge fretboard. Very cool!
Fyi, Streamer listed twice in 3rd paragraph.
I work for a Warwick Elite dealer and the prices they released for these originally were very expensive. Glad to see they dropped them down a bit. Also you will have the option in some models of US Cherry Wood as the body too. I would love to get a sample to try out but they are more of a buy it and find out company hehe.
