Warwick Unveils Limited Edition Masterbuilt and Teambuilt Basses for 2024
Each year, Warwick introduces two limited edition basses from their custom shop: one that’s Masterbuilt and one that’s Teambuilt. The German bass manufacturer chose to highlight the beauty of walnut on their Thumb model this year by introducing the Masterbuilt Thumb NT LTD 2024 and the Teambuilt Thumb BO LTD 2024. Each bass comes in four and five-string versions.
The Masterbuilt bass is crafted with a solid figured, flamed walnut body complemented by a five-piece wenge and roasted flamed maple neck. Its Tigerstripe ebony fingerboard is fitted with 24 frets (featuring Warwick’s Invisible Fret Technology) adored with Abalone dot inlays. The Bartolini pickups pair an MM-style humbucker in the bridge position with a single coil in the neck position. Warwick includes their active 3-way preamp including a rechargeable lithium battery.

The Teambuilt version is built with bolt-on construction as opposed to the neck-through design of the Masterbuilt. It tones things down a bit by having a “regular” walnut body with a flamed walnut top and a three-piece wenge neck. It has the same pickups with an MEC preamp featuring a two-band EQ.

The Warwick Masterbuilt Thumb NT LTD 2024 has prices of $9,608 for the four-string and $10,376 for the five-string. The Teambuilt bass has price points of $5,069 and $5,263.
