Kiesel/Carvin Guitars Updates Icon Series Basses
Kiesel Guitars, formerly Carvin Guitars, is celebrating the 10th anniversary of their Icon series of basses with an upgraded version of the instruments. Available in four-, five-, and six-string models, the Icon 2.0 bass now features a deeper body cutaway for improved comfort, a three-piece headstock design, and an option for a chambered body.
The Kiesel Icon comes with a 4A flamed maple top and matching headstock as a standard option with several exotic tops available. Another new feature is in the model’s electronics. Each bass will be fitted with plain enamel wire radiused humbuckers, similar to those found on the company’s Vanquish bass, with the option for a split-coil neck pickup. The pickups have also been repositioned for tonal enhancement. Kiesel realigned the control layout which connects to a new 18-volt active/passive preamp.
The Kiesel Guitars Icon 2.0 Series is available with several options available. Prices start at $1,399 for the four-string, $1,459 for the five-string, and $1,519 for the six-string.

I love these, but they should also offer a non-figured top option (like they used to) at a lower price point.
