Kiesel’s New Z2 and O2 Basses Pack DarkGlass Power for 2025

The 2025 Winter NAMM Show is just around the corner, but Kiesel isn’t waiting to show off their fresh gear for the new year. They’ve announced revamps of their popular Zeus and Osiris guitars and basses, now called the Z2 and the O2. A key feature of the redesign is a new radiused neck heel that gives better access to the upper frets.
The Z2 and O2 Basses also have their own new set of features.
“The accompanying bass versions, the Z2 Bass and O2 Bass, follow in their guitar counterparts’ footsteps with notable differences,” Kiesel writes. “The Z2 and O2 Basses feature a slap ramp, Dark Glass preamp, and standard Tritium pickups. Due to the popularity of the multiscale A2 Bass, the O2 Bass is exclusively available in a multiscale configuration.”
The Z2 and O2 Basses have differing body shapes but have similar construction materials. They come standard with an alder body, maple neck, and ebony fretboard.
Get the full scoop on the redesigns with Jeff Kiesel himself:
The Kiesel Z2 Bass comes in four-, five-, or six-string models in either multi-scale or traditional scales. The O2 Bass only comes in a multi-scale design with options of four, five, six, or seven strings. Each model can be highly customized. Prices start at $2,299.
