Advanced Bass: Modern Rhythmic Concepts
Rhythmic phrasing is an often overlooked subject in bass guitar education, much of it left to chance and feel. However, the bass guitarist should become “rhythmic aware” as being an integral part of the rhythm section of a band.
In this lesson I explain how to use rhythm as motific building blocks to develop your ideas – enabling you to obtain a deeper understanding of groove, rhythm, feel and form.
This lesson is accompanied with a PDF worksheet.

As always great lesson!!! Exactly what I wanted ?
Great! Glad it was helpful.
Thanks’ Joe ,
I’m on year 3 of bass playing and this totally confused me but in good time i will catch on.
That bass you have is really fine, that’s the look I wanted and somehow ended up with a blue Fender Jazz bass , it’s good enough for me , nice heavy chunk of wood with an Alder body & maple neck.
Keep playing man! Great things are ahead for you!
