Warwick Introduces Rex Brown Signature Basses
Rex Brown has teamed up with Warwick for a new signature bass that will be available in the company’s top shelf custom shop line as well as the more affordable Rockbass Artist line. Both versions are based off the Reverso neck-through model, which features a distinct offset body with an extended upper horn.
The Rockbass Artist Line Rex Brown 4 is built with an alder body and quilted maple top with either a Black Burst Transparent High Polish or Solid Black finish. The rosewood fingerboard is inlaid with silver blocks and a special skull design at the 12th fret. Electronics include an active EMG X P/J set matched to an MEC active/passive 2-band preamp.
The Warwick Rex Brown Signature Custom Shop is built in Germany and has the option of fretted or fretless fingerboards. It steps things up with an AAAA quilted maple top, alder back, and maple neck with hidden neck construction. The headstock matches the AAAA quilted maple and Blackburst Transparent high polish finish.
The Warwick Rex Brown Signature Custom Shop carries a MAP price of $5,999 while the Rockbass Artist Line bass will go for closer to $1,837.
