Sadowsky Reveals 2026 Limited Edition Vintage P/J Bass in MetroLine & Masterbuilt Series

Nicolas Wilfer and Roger Sadowsky with 2026 Limited Edition Basses

Since 2020, Sadowsky has produced annual limited-edition models in partnership with Warwick, and for 2026, they’ve unveiled a 21-fret Vintage P/J bass in both the MetroLine and Masterbuilt series. Each style will come in four- or five-string versions, with fretted or fretless options.

Hear more about the line from founder Roger Sadowsky:

The Sadowsky MasterBuilt 2026 Limited Edition 21-Fret Vintage P/J Bass is the premier model and is limited to just 35 pieces total. It is built with a chambered Okoume body topped with a master grade flamed spalted maple top. Its roasted American flamed maple neck is fitted with a Tigerstripe Ebony fingerboard.

“These basses have a sleek J-Style body and are finished in a Bleached Nirvana Blackburst High Polish finish to really let the beauty of the wood shine through,” the company writes.

Sadowsky fits them with a passive Soapbar pickup at the bridge and a P-style neck pickup. Electronics include a 2-way Sadowsky preamp with true bypass, Vintage Tone Control, and treble and bass boosts. Finally, Sadowsky hardware rounds out the spec list.

See and hear more about the Masterbuilt edition with Lars Lehmann:

The Sadowsky MetroLine 2026 Limited Edition 21-Fret Vintage P/J Bass is limited to 135 pieces. It has many of the same specs, though the top is a standard grade spalted maple and the body is given a satin finish.

Again, watch Lehmann put the bass through its paces:

The Sadowsky Masterbuilt and MetroLine 2026 Limited Edition 21-Fret Vintage P/J Basses are built in Germany. They’re available for order with prices starting at $6,735 for the Metroline and $9,190 for the Masterbuilt.

Sure would be nice to have 10 grand to drop on a bass.
