The Dillinger Escape Plan Announce Fall Tour

The Dillinger Escape Plan

Earlier this month, the Dillinger Escape Plan announced they will be taking an indefinite hiatus after the release of their upcoming album, Dissociation, and its accompanying tour cycle. Now the band has revealed the list of seemingly final tour dates that will take them across the U.S. from coast to coast and back.

Anchored by bassist Liam Wilson, the band is about to celebrate its 20th anniversary next year. “We’re really excited about this new album as well, but at the same time, it’s going to be our 20-year anniversary in 2017,” guitarist Ben Weinman stated. “It might be even longer because I’m not sure when I started writing songs, but the first EP came out in ’97 — so I think it’s one of those things where we didn’t want to get to the point where we’re stopping because we have to or because we’re old or people are kind of over it.”

The tour will kick off October 12th at the Baltimore Soundstage in Baltimore, Maryland and will include support from O’Brother and Cult Leader as well as Car Bomb, Entheos, and Bent Knee on select dates.

Weinman added “This album, and the touring we have booked to support it, is a celebration of creation through deconstruction. We will all go into this journey fully embracing the power of unpredictability.”

Check out “Limerent Death” for a preview of the new album, due on October 14th:
