Talking Technique: Pivot Perms & Mirror Image

This episode is part one of a three-part challenge. Those time tested permutation exercises (you are doing them, right?) are getting two fresh twists in this episode: descending by their mirror image for an additional right-hand alternating challenge, and what I call the wicked “Pivot Permutations” – a great fun way to spice up that vital practice.

I have a challenge for you: pick a permutation, pivot it and mirror it and practice it slowly for two weeks until you can reach eighths at about 100.

In the next episode, I will show you how to double that speed using a great strategy. But you first have to practice slowly, that’s the deal. In the third episode in this series, we will have some musical applications for you.

Make sure to download the PDF for today’s episode so you can pick a permutation for the challenge!
