King Crimson Announces U.S. Fall Tour
If you missed King Crimson’s mighty “double quartet formation” earlier this year, you’re in luck. The iconic prog-rock band has unveiled tour dates for the fall that will cover the East Coast and Midwest with a special Texas concert in the mix.
“The new dates see the group performing in some states and cities that have not been visited in a while. Atlanta, Georgia, for example, last had live Crimson music in 2001,” a press release states, “while Texas has experienced something of an epic Crimson drought since 1974, not counting ProjeKct Three’s week-long residency in the Lone Star state during March 1999.”
The lineup includes bass master Tony Levin along with guitarist Robert Fripp, keyboardist Bill Reiflin, guitarist/vocalist Jakko Jakszyk, saxophonist Mel Collins, and three drummers: Pat Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison, and Jeremy Stacey.
